01 · Overview

Lumbar support for the hours that add up to a chronic problem.

The human lumbar spine has a natural inward curve — lordosis — that conventional seating regularly flattens or reverses. Posterior pelvic tilt during prolonged sitting is one of the most consistent contributors to lower back pain, neck tension, and fatigue in office and home environments. The problem is not how long people sit: it's the position their pelvis falls into when unsupported.

The Infinity Posture Chair supports the natural lumbar curve by creating a seat surface that discourages posterior tilt and encourages the pelvis to stay in a neutral, upright position. This is the mechanical principle behind all correctly designed posture seating — and it's what distinguishes a posture chair from a cushion or a pad.

02 · Design Principle

Chair geometry — lumbar curve support design

Conventional flat chair seats allow the pelvis to tilt backward under the weight of the torso. As the pelvis tilts, the lumbar spine flattens, the thoracic spine rounds, and the head moves forward — the classic slumped sitting posture. The Infinity Posture Chair's seat geometry creates a mild forward pitch that keeps the pelvis in a more neutral position and allows the lumbar spine to maintain its natural curve without the sitter consciously trying to "sit up straight."

The backrest provides lumbar support that reinforces this position — the lumbar pad bears into the lower back at the point of the natural curve, preventing the spine from rounding further. The combination of seat pitch and lumbar pad works mechanically: correct posture is the path of least resistance, not an act of willpower.
